Muskegon Bike Time Announces Attractions and Events for 10th Anniversary Year.
“Stunt Shows, Arm Wrestling Championships and NASCAR Simulator to Highlight Bike Time Activities in 2016”
MUSKEGON, Mich., May 4, 2016 – Muskegon Bike Time has announced some of this year’s attractions scheduled to take place July 14 – 17, 2016 during the annual motorcycle weekend in West Michigan.
On Friday and Saturday, World Champion, Scott Murray, one of only four riders in the world to successfully land a double back flip on a motorcycle in the X games, will be performing at this year’s Bike Time event.
The “Sick Air Show” with Murray and his team of pilots will “rock your world” with their gnarly FMX acrobatics as they contort themselves while flying 30’ up in the air. You’ll get chills watching the big tricks such as superman seat grabs, rock solids, KOD’s and of course backflips. You won’t want to miss this show by some of the best pilots in the industry.
Also on Friday and Saturday only, King Tony’s Busted Knuckles Stunt Tour — An All Harley-Davidson Stunt Show will perform two shows each day
The Busted Knuckles Stunt Tour is a kick butt, v-twin thrill show performed solely on Harley-Davidson motorcycles. These American Daredevils perform stunts that include wheelies, acrobatics, burnouts, jumps, and pyro. Every show is unique and different. A loud and energetic crowd fuels their fire so the louder the crowd gets, the wilder they get! Exciting, crazy, fun and just bad to the bone are a few words their fans use to describe the Busted Knuckles Stunt Tour.
Performing twice a day for the four day run of the festival is Relentless Stunts Motorcycle Show. This motorcycle stunt team will have you on the edge of your seat with nonstop action performing wheelies, smoking tires, and performing tons of crazy “must see to believe” acrobatics.
Performing hourly throughout the event, The Wall of Death is a vintage live action thrill show featuring a motor drome, a silo-shaped wooden cylinder 30 feet in diameter. Inside the drome, motorcycle daredevils travel along the vertical wall performing trick, fancy, and acrobatic riding.
The show features antique Indian and Harley-Davidson motorcycles along with hand built 4-wheeled racing machines.
Nothing compares to seeing the show in person at the top of the 14 foot board wall, where you can smell the rubber burn and feel the wind as the motorcycles race just inches from you!
New to the event this year is the West Michigan Arm Wrestling Championships which will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2016. The event begins with weigh-in’s at 11:00am. The competition starts at 2:00pm and concludes around 6:00pm. There will be competition in all weight classes and includes an open class for women.
Especially exciting will be the super heavy weight match. The current title is held by Tim Feliciano from Mt. Morris. He will be challenged by local arm wrestler, David Cox from Muskegon, in a best 3 out of 5 match for the West Michigan Championship belt.
Another new attraction will be the Ultimate NASCAR Experience, featuring the only full-size virtual motion, #24 Jeff Gordon, DuPont Chevy simulator in the world. Bike Time guests can enjoy the thrill of being in an authentic race car, driving the speedway and racing against the stars of NASCAR.
Other events motorcycle enthusiasts have come to enjoy will continue including, the Bike Time Tattoo contest on Saturday, the Blessing of the Bikers on Sunday and the Bike Time Patriots Ride on Sunday to benefit Every Woman’s Place.
All of these attractions and events will take place at the focal point for Muskegon Bike Time, affectionately called Bike Time at the Rez, at 4800 S. Harvey Street, Muskegon MI, on the site formerly known as Great Lakes Downs.
“In addition to these attraction and events at the REZ there will be the usual activities that have attracted motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the Midwest to Muskegon, said Tim Lipan, spokesperson for Muskegon Bike Time. “Muskegon Bike Time and the Child Abuse Council of Muskegon County have been meeting regularly to coordinate activities and events and deliver another great year of fun, food and all things motorcycles.”
Admission is free to the event site where you can experience Bike Time on your bike as you cruise through the new Bike Time at the Rez location. You can also park your ride near your favorite vendor or beverage tent and enjoy the other bikes and bikers in a festive atmosphere.
Plenty of free parking for motorcycles and those visiting by automobile will be available on site at the Rez.
Muskegon Bike Time will soon release information on its mainstage concerts, ticket prices and availability.
